In episode 64 of our weekly PC gaming podcast we discuss some of the latest news inluding; the shelving of SOPA and PIPA, Ubisoft’s DRM and Valve’s job posting that suggest they could finally be bringing their Steam platform over to the Linux operating system. We then go on to discuss what we’ve been up to this week; Bobby spent some money in a free-to-play game for the first time ever, and we shared some rather contrasting experiences in the Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning demo

Episode 63 of our weekly PC gaming podcast, with the bulk this week being announcements from CES — including Razer’s wacky Project Fiona… a PC gaming tablet! We also discuss some more PC gaming news from this week, as well as mentioning my use of the new SteelSeries Kinzu mouse and a nice little browser-based game that Dan found.

Episode 62 of our weekly PC gaming podcast, Ironhammers Live. During which we discuss the possible affects of SOPA and discover how a coffee table caused Dan to need 17 stitches in his forehead. Of course, we also discuss the latest PC gaming news, what we’ve been playing and take some emails from the community — which, if you’re interested, you can send to podcast@ironhammers.org.

I’m here with news. Perhaps even good news. Providing your the kind that enjoys listening to the ramblings of Hardlydan and I on a Sunday evening.
After what could be referred to as slightly more than a brief hiatus — for a multitude of reasons — throughout December, Ironhammers Live is back this weekend. The first episode of 2012 will debut our slightly revamped format.
There’s to be a few changes to the show (hopefully for the better), but the big one is that our ‘Question of the Week’ is being replaced …

You’ve likely all seen this video some poor kid being pranked into playing a maze game, which ultimately results in fright that would have probably left me with a heart that was no longer beating. There’s also the “playing Doom 3 in the dark” videos which, however staged thay may appear, do at least remind me of how jumpy the game made me years ago. But have you ever had to change your pants after playing an game?

On this week’s episode of our weekly PC gaming podcast, Ironhammers Live, Dan and Bobby make a few changes to the usual show layout. Why? Well, we were both in dream-mode because of our Extra Life gaming marathon efforts for charity. So, we’ve dropped the question of the week and discussion of what we’ve been playing, instead dedicating part two of the show to all the news that’s come out of this week’s BlizzCon event.

This Saturday, Bobby and Dan from the Ironhammers Live podcast will be attempting to play video games for 24 hours straight as part of the 2011 Extra Life gaming marathons. It’s all for a very worthy cause, and not only can donating help us reach our goal of raising lots of money to help sick children, but we’ll also be entering every single donor into a prize draw. The grand prize winner will nab themselves an OnLive games console, and we’re putting together a few other prizes too. Read on for full details and how you can help with a donation.

We’ve moved to Sundays with our live show, folks… so here’s your second episode of Ironhammers Live in the last few days. Our PC gaming news includes some contradicting opinions from John Carmack and Gabe Newell. We speak some more about the games we’ve been playing including Orcs Must Die! and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Then, it’s time for another question of the week, where we asked our community, “What console exclusive game would you most like to see on the PC?”

To be honest, this is actually the second question of this week due to the change in scheduling for our podcasts. So just pretend that this one is the question of the week — and it’s been inspired by a few games that have released this past week or so that are only available on the consoles, as well as the news that Red Dead Redemption will never make it to our platform.

Pushing on with another PC gaming podcast, this time it’s number 57. The logical follow on to last week’s number 56. In this week’s epsidoe we have some interesting news stories about RAGE disappointing the PC fanbase, PC gamers helping to discover new earth-like planets and a story that suggest 90% of PC games in existence are pirated copies. We’ve also been playing some games, believe it or not; Orcs Must Die!, FIFA 12, F1 2011 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution are all discussed before we wrap up with our ‘Question of the Week’. Which this week asks for your thoughts about pre-order incentives and bonuses.
