It’s not unusual for computer hardware to be bundled with some relevant software, and with graphics cards that relevant software has always been games. Now Nvidia is clearly embracing the free-to-play market trend with it’s latest offer of giving not games, but in-game currency for Hawken, Planetside 2 and World of Tanks.
Up to $150 USD worth of in-game credit can be received when buying a GTX 600 series card from select retailers. The GTX 650 and 650 Ti models will come bundled with $75 ($25 for each game mentioned above), while buying a GTX 660 or above will get you $150 ($50 for each game).
Retailers participating in the promotion include, among others, Amazon and Tiger Direct in the US or Scan Computers and Novatech here in the UK. There looks to be several more out there that are offering up the deal, including several system builders.
The currency will be given in the form of codes that can be redeemed on the Nvidia website which will, by the looks of it, then grant codes to be redeemed in each of the three games.
Full details of the redemption or terms and conditions of the promotion can be found over here.
