So, I’ve been playing a little of the Red Orchestra 2 beta, and have been having a great time doing so (full preview incoming). But, ‘map fatigue’ was the last thing on my mind as a crept around the game’s uber-tense, World War 2 setting. It seems Tripwire Interactive are full of giving spirit, though. As after minimal of time with three maps in the beta, they’ve gone ahead and decided to add three more!
The new maps are:
- Grain Elevator - the iconic battle site in the south of Stalingrad featuring long range infantry fighting outdoors and room to room close quarters combat inside.
- Red October Factory - night-time fighting in the factory ruins on an epic scale with infantry and tanks fighting side by side.
- Barracks - a mix of close-quarter and medium-range combat, sure to be a fan favorite.
All three of the maps will be playable in Territory and Countdown game modes, while Barracks will also have the more fast-paced Firefight mode as an option. The new maps are set to be rolled out to all players ‘later today’.
If you want to get in on the beta, you can do so by pre-ordering the Red Orchestra 2 Deluxe Edition, granting you immediate access to start playing.
