It wasn’t long ago that I was sat here writing about of Trackmania 2 Stadium, and today Nadeo have announced that the third TM2 instalment, Trackmania 2 Valley, will be releasing next Thursday, July 4th. It’ll be available direct from the ManiaPlanet platform, as well as through Steam — although I can’t find a price for it (Stadium is £7.99).
Nadeo Founder and Managing Director, Florent Castelnerac, comments on the releases being so close to on another:
“As we were co-developing Stadium and Valley concurrently it meant we finished development of each around the same time. We could have chosen to postpone the release of one of these two titles, but we rather preferred to launch both games as soon as possible, thinking that this is what players would want for the summer. Our fans have been waiting so patiently since we announced Valley in 2009, we wanted to reward them as soon as we could with this release.”
Valley will feature all of the usual multiplayer modes and such that you expect in TrackMania – except this time the handling will be more of a rally experience — and a new single player campaign featuring 65 tracks.
